Lansing, MI 48823 From :Donald Hillman, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Michigan State University 750 Berkshire Lane E. Lansing, MI 48823 (517) 351-9561 FAX: (517) 351-1944 E-MAIL: donag1@aol.com Re: Nextel Cellular-Telephone Signal Generator-Transmitter-Antennae on the City Water Tower in Patriarche Park, East Lansing. Abstract - Summary Electrical voltage and frequencies were measured on the Nextel service-box neutral, Lansing Board of Water & Light neutral-ground, and in electrical outlets and city water lines in neighboring homes and schools. Voltage increased each time the Nextel generator started “roaring.” Public exposure was 10.16 Volts (20.3 milliamperes) of electrical current present to pass through a human body. OSHA limit is 1.0 milliampere on exposed facility to protect citizens from hazardous involuntary shock. Thus, installations in Patriarche Park are in violation of OSHA Safety Standard. Elevated electrical currents and 3rd, 5th, 7th, and other high frequency harmonics found on Nextel’s service box and neutral were on electrical circuits and city water lines in neighborhood homes and schools. Electric and magnetic fields (EMF) of 3rd, 5th, and 7th harmonic order have been associated with increased risk of cancer in other studies. For a PDF file of the entire letter, click here.
